The Cameron Crazies are the student supporters of Duke University's basketball teams, named for Duke's Cameron Indoor Stadium. The Crazies stand courtside in a 1,200 seat student section and begin cheering during warmups. A customer made me her new BFF today simply because I helped her with one of our golf prints, an anniversary gift to her husband. Apparently she placed an order elsewhere (oh no!) and after 6 weeks not receiving it, she called and they said it wasn't going to happen! huh? And on top of that they were rude. Not the first time I've heard this, and I've experienced bad customer service plenty of times shopping online. I can't imagine not apologizing to the customer at least, but instead they had attitude with her. This just continues to blow my mind. Are companies not aware of the demeanor of their customer service people? Do they not have rules or guidelines for courteous and helpful customer service? At a minimum, treat the customer with respect and better yet, treat them how you would like to be treated as a customer. Thanks, www___.com for the sale, and for making us look like heroes just by doing our job. Our new friend will have a very nice gift for her husband on their doorstep next week. We're here to help!

Ohio State Licensed Poster Display

Being in the Columbus, Ohio area, we have published and licensed
several OSU football posters with The Ohio State University. These are sold on our website framed, but also at local Buckeye stores unframed. Until now we have been backing with cardboard and individually shrink wrapping them. These require some sort of shelving to display and easily become disorganized. After brainstorming with Jeff at Digitaldept.com, he came up with this poster display that will hold about 70 - 80 rolled posters. The posters are in plastic sleeves and labeled to easily match the image the customer sees on the display. Most of our posters are a standard size and can be framed by the customer in a ready-made frame. Anyone looking for a way to display and sell their loose posters, contact Jeff@digitaldept.com! He printed the cool graphics and the header on vinyl and adhered them to a sturdy, custom made box with dividers. These are being well received!

Great tribute to UGA, beloved mascot of the Georgia Bulldogs, rated by Sports Illustrated as the #1 college mascot. He's been the only mascot to attend the Heisman Award ceremonies. During our UPS delivery today we told our driver we wouldn't have any other shipments and that they didn't need to stop back for our late pick up. Then a backordered print arrived and we wanted to get this customer's order out, so we rushed to frame and box their print and drove it over to the UPS store where our driver also picks up around 6 pm. But we just missed the driver. So we drive around looking for a big brown truck! Finally we catch our driver 50 feet from the freeway ramp on the way to the distribution center. He gladly pulled off the road to accept our box in the pouring rain no problem. Our customer will get her print Friday as requested. whew! We hate disappointing anyone who is gift giving for that special occasion, and though we sometimes go out of our way to be accommodating, we also owe accolades to UPS for their service and dependability.

When you are shopping for framed art, be sure to ask about some of the issues mentioned here. It could save you the time, frustration and expense of return shipping.

We hear this story quite often. A customer purchases a framed sports print from us, then orders another print from another site thinking it is ours and then contacts us saying that they received an inferior product from another company and they returned it, reordering from us. We feel our customers should know the difference in our process which will give them a better quality product that will look good and hold its value for years to come.

First we mount each print on a 3/16" foam core board to prevent warping and rippling over time. We mat most prints in team colors, as fans want to proudly display their team colors and are often decorating whole rooms around these team prints. When you see one of our matted prints from a distance, there is no question what your favorite team is - the team color matting borders the print. Most companies use generic mats, i.e. all prints are matted the same in a generic blue, black or white.

Also unlike most competitive products, we use glass to protect your prints, not acrylic which can easily scratch when cleaning. Special solvents are needed for cleaning acrylic, which add to the expense and inconvenience. So when most people try to clean acrylic with glass cleaner, fine scratches caused from the glass cleaner create a hazy appearance to the acrylic. We feel glass is a much superior product and though it takes significantly more care in packaging and expense in shipping, it gives our customers a better quality finished product for years to come.

Rather than taping or stapling in the print from the back, we use metal framers points to hold in the print and glass. We also apply a paper backing "dust cover" to the wood frames, not leaving the raw wood exposed. All prints come with the appropriate hanging hardware, and our panoramic prints use a "wall buddy" system, letting you professionally hang straight and flat to the wall. Our prints can be easily removed from the box and hung on the wall - no trips to the hardware store!

We offer prints framed in your choice of 4 wood frames. Our wood frames are solid wood. Some framers use frames that have a wood look but are really polystyrene or moulded plastic, a less expensive alternative. You should know what the frame is so you know how to take care of it as well.
